Don’t judge me, I know I just did a post about why I’m not participating in Blogtober. However, I already wrote this and had a lot of fun with it and figured it shouldn’t go to waste! I thought it’d be cool to have a browse at the costumes that are on offer this year. All opinions of all costumes are my own and meant to be a bit of lighthearted fun. If there’s something I hate but you think is pretty cool I’d love to know! Well then, lets get into it shall we…
Now, I know you’re probably thinking that this should be on the worst list. But I actually think this is pretty damn creative. Imagine walking around in a giant inflatable t-rex costume… Am I the only one who thinks that’d be ridiculous amounts of fun? However, the price tag of £30 could put me off.
Sally – The Nightmare Before Christmas
So you may be thinking ‘that’s not even a Halloween film’ and you’re wrong. It’s set in Halloween Town but we did not come here to argue about the ins and outs of the film. Nope, we are here to discuss this costume. I have wanted to dress up as Sally every halloween for the last 18 years of my life. But her costume doesn’t come cheap at £32.39. She’s cute in her creepy rag doll way especially if you get the makeup right. This could make a really great Halloween costume.
This is easily one of the creepiest costumes I could find. The costume in itself is an optical illusion and incredibly well designed and thought out. I recommend you read the description of how the creator, Eric, assembled it over on costume-works.com because I’m blown away. I actually think this is really cool and very creative.
I’m sorry but what the heck is this? What has a Leopard even got to do with halloween? Where’s the creative effort? Sometimes, I look at Halloween costumes and I’m at a loss for words. This is one of those times. It just looks boring and tacky. If you want to dress up as a Leopard this year then you go for it, but I’ll be going for something else.
Frankly, I’d be buying this one for the socks. I’ll give them some props because ghosts are actually halloween themed. But why pay for this when you could just get an old bed sheet and cut holes in it? Is this not exactly the same concept? They literally want you to pay £10 for this. Guys, I just… I really don’t know anymore.
Couples Oreo Costume
I know I said I was at a loss for words over the Leopard costume but now I’m really at a loss. Excuse my language but what the f*ck? This isn’t even an effort. This is a damn biscuit. Come on people, help me out here. Why even bother with the oreo part? Just turn up in your jeans and t-shirt cause you basically are anyway. I rolled my eyes so hard at this they nearly fell out.
So, that concludes my top 3 best and worst costumes for this Halloween. There will probably be better and worse costumes out there but they’re hard to come by apparently. I admit some of mine from previous years have been atrocious but I’m trying to up my game.
What do you guys think? Got anything/anyone in mind that you want to dress up as this year?
Until next time,
